Help Center

How can we help?

Everything you need to know about creating and managing your band website.

Getting Started

How do I create my band website?

Click 'Get Started' on the homepage, sign up with your email, and follow the setup wizard. You'll choose a subdomain (yourband.webkit.band), pick a theme, and add your music. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

Is webkit.band free?

Yes! Creating your band page is completely free. You get a yourband.webkit.band subdomain, access to all 16 themes, unlimited releases, and a content feed. Premium features like custom domains are available for a small fee.

Do I need any coding skills?

Nope. webkit.band is designed for musicians, not developers. Everything is visual and drag-and-drop. If you can use Spotify, you can use webkit.band.

Themes & Customization

How many themes are available?

We have 16 hand-crafted themes: Midnight, Brutalist, Minimal, Vintage, Neon, Earthy, Dreamy, Mono, Voltage, Synthwave, Raga, Groove, Jazz, Cosmic, Drift, and Hiphop. Each has unique fonts, colors, and personality.

Can I preview themes before choosing?

Yes! On the homepage, click any theme swatch in the 'Pick your vibe' section to see a live preview. The entire page transforms to show you exactly how your site will look.

Can I change my theme later?

Absolutely. Go to your Dashboard > Theme and switch themes anytime. Your content stays the same, only the visual style changes.

Can I customize colors beyond the preset themes?

Currently, themes come as complete packages with coordinated fonts and colors. Custom color options are on our roadmap.

Music Releases

How do I add a release?

In your Dashboard, go to Releases and click 'Add Release'. Enter the title, release date, cover art URL, and links to streaming platforms. You can also import directly from Spotify.

Can I import from Spotify?

Yes! Click 'Import from Spotify' in the Releases section, paste your Spotify artist URL, and we'll fetch your discography. Select which releases you want to add and click Import.

What streaming platforms are supported?

We support Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Deezer, Tidal, Amazon Music, and direct links. Add as many or as few as you have.

Can I reorder my releases?

Releases are automatically sorted by date (newest first). Manual reordering is coming soon.

Domains

What's my default URL?

When you sign up, you choose a slug like 'myband'. Your site is then available at myband.webkit.band and webkit.band/myband.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes! With a premium account, you can connect your own domain (like myband.com). We'll guide you through updating your DNS settings.

How do I set up a custom domain?

Go to Dashboard > Settings > Domain, enter your domain, and follow the DNS instructions. You'll need to add a CNAME record pointing to cname.vercel-dns.com. Changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate.

Content Feed

What is the content feed?

Your content feed is a blog-like section where you can post updates, announcements, tour dates, behind-the-scenes content, or anything you want to share with fans.

Can I embed videos or images?

Posts support text and images. Video embeds from YouTube and other platforms are on our roadmap.

Can I schedule posts?

Not yet, but scheduled posting is planned for a future update.

Account & Settings

How do I change my band name or bio?

Go to Dashboard > Settings and update your band name, tagline, bio, or any other profile information.

Can I have multiple band pages?

Currently, each account can have one band page. If you're in multiple projects, create separate accounts for each.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us at hello@webkit.band and we'll help you with account deletion.
