Connecting Platforms

The Presence dashboard shows all your streaming and video platform profiles in one place. Connecting them lets webkit.band display your artist profiles and keep your release links in sync.

Supported platforms

  • Spotify — artist profile
  • Apple Music — artist profile
  • YouTube (OAC) — Official Artist Channel (@handle or UC... channel ID)
  • Vevo — Vevo channel (@ArtistVEVO)
  • SoundCloud — artist profile
  • Bandcamp — artist page
  • Tidal — artist profile
  • Deezer — artist profile
  • Amazon Music — artist profile

YouTube and Vevo are separate — you can connect whichever ones you have. Many artists have both an Official Artist Channel (OAC) on YouTube and a Vevo channel.

Connecting a platform

  1. Go to Dashboard → Presence
  2. Find the platform you want to connect
  3. Click Connect (or Edit if it's already connected)
  4. Paste your artist profile URL for that platform
  5. webkit.band extracts your artist ID automatically
  6. Click Save

You can also click Add Platform at the top right and paste any URL — webkit.band will detect which platform it's from.

What the artist ID is used for

Your artist ID links your profile on each platform. It appears in the Presence dashboard and is used to build your profile URLs — for example, your Spotify artist page link on your public band page.

Syncing release links

Once you have Spotify connected, click Sync All to automatically fill in missing streaming links on your releases. This uses the Odesli service to look up your release on each platform and saves the URLs.

This saves a lot of manual work — one click fills in Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, and Amazon Music links for every release that has a Spotify URL.

Checking connection status

Each platform row in the Presence dashboard shows:

  • A green dot if connected
  • An empty dot if not connected
  • Your artist ID in small monospace text when connected
  • How many of your releases have a link on that platform (e.g. 8/12 releases)

Removing a connection

Click Edit on any connected platform, clear the URL field, and save. The artist ID will be removed.
